- Use fewer words to get the largest number of matches. Entering "sandwich" will result in more matches than "ham and cheese sandwich".
- Keep your searches to 1-4 keywords. Entering more than four words will greatly reduce the chance of getting search results.
- Specific words provide the most relevant matches. "Italian pasta salad" will result in fewer, but more relevant, results than "salad."
- Spelling counts. The more exact your spelling, the more success you'll have.
- Don't run your words together. Place a space or a comma between words. For example, enter "club sandwich" instead of "clubsandwich".
Find recipes containing the exact phrase entered.
Example: a search for "Cheddar Crisps" with Exact Phrase Match will not
find "Cheddar Pita Crisps" ("cheddar" and "crisps" do not appear next to each other in the recipe name).
Exact Phrase Match can found on the
Recipe Index page.

description and recipe keywords that were assigned by the Land O'Lakes Test Kitchen.
Our search engine is not case-sensitive and does not recognize characters such as accents, apostrophes, hyphens or ampersands (&).
